Our Story
Solace was founded on a simple idea — that a backyard can be the most lived-in room in the house.
We work with a small number of homeowners each year across Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Lake Martin, Smith Lake and the surrounding communities. Every project begins with the same thing: a long conversation about how a family wants to gather, rest, and mark the years together.
From there, we design and build — quietly, carefully, and with the kind of detail that only reveals itself over time. The pool is the heart of the work, but it is rarely the whole of it. Pavilions, kitchens, fire, water, stone and shade all belong to the same conversation.
